Account Deletion Instructions
Effective Date: 12/01/2025Apparent Inc. (“Apparent,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides users the option to permanently delete their account and all associated personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
1. How to Request Account DeletionTo delete your account and all related personal information, please send an email to support@apparent.com using the same email address associated with your account.
Your email should include:
- Your full name and registered email address.
- The name of the app or service (if multiple Apparent apps are used).
- A clear request stating that you would like your account deleted.
Once we receive your request, we will confirm your identity and begin processing the deletion. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.
For users of the Apparent Water Heater app (available on the App Store), you can delete your account directly within the app without emailing support. To do so:
- Open the Apparent Water Heater app and log in with your account credentials.
- Navigate to: Menu → Settings → Delete Account
- Enter your password when prompted.
- Confirm any on-screen dialogues to finalize the deletion.
Once completed, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
- Your personal data (such as contact information, app activity, and links to IoT device data) will be permanently deleted from our systems.
- Access to your account will be removed.
- Deletion is irreversible — your data cannot be recovered once removed.
In limited cases, we may retain certain information as required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce agreements. For example, transactional or diagnostic data that is anonymized or aggregated may remain in system backups or analytics logs.
